Lillian O. Shoemaker, 83, of Chattanooga, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, July 26, 2018.
Born in Lynch, KY to Alonzo and Elma Owens, she graduated from Lynch High School and then received a business degree from Cumberland School of Business.
Lillian was employed for Shelton & Frye Orthopedics with 25 years of service.
She was a longtime member of Lupton Drive Baptist Church and loved her church family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Shoemaker, two sisters, Betty Roe and Joan Gentry.
Survivors are son, Mark (Allison) Shoemaker; grandchildren, Bailey and Addy Petty all of Chattanooga; brother, Al (Christy) Owens, Jr., Goshen, KY; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday at 11 am in the chapel with Rev. Dustin Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Hearth Hospice and the staff and residents at Hickory Valley Retirement Center and especially Fran Zimmermann, for all of their love and friendship to Lillian.
