Mabel A. (Blevins) Walker

Mabel Ann Walker, 91, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, June 3, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

Mabel was the founder and co-owner of Barn Yard Antiques. She lived a full life and enjoyed family gatherings, road trips, the sand between her toes, and her beloved pets. She had a passion for life and lived each day by her motto “a day is what you make it.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank T. and Claudia (Minnear) Blevins; and her husband, Marion G. Walker, Sr.

Mabel is survived by her children, Pete (Sue) Walker, Becky (Darrell) Aslinger, Julia (Buddy) Henry and Frank (Debbie) Walker; a sister, Julia Grimes; 5 grandchildren, Enka Walker, Renee (Steve) Harden, Hayden Montgomery (Alyssa Pierce), Walker Henry (Blair Murphy), and Megan Walker; and 5 great-grandchildren, Gabe, Grace, Halle, Addi, and Ayden, and her beloved cat of 16 years, Sam.

A private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to GraceWorks Church of Chattanooga or Humane Educational Society of Chattanooga.
