Marea (Rankin) Ransom Jarrell

Marea Ransom Jarrell, 104, of Signal Mountain passed away on September 11, 2019 at Alexian Village. 

She was a retired music teacher and professional musician.

Marea was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Ransom Sr. and husband, Richard Milhous Jarrell; brothers, Arthur Lee Rankin Jr. and William Jacob Rankin. 

She is survived by sons, Henry Ransom Jr. (KAY) of Good Hope, GA., Jim (Neva) Ransom of Birchwood, TN, and William K. Ransom of Chattanooga, TN; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Second Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga, with Rev. Kathy Meyer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alexian Scholarship Fund (437 Alexian Way, Signal Mountain, TN 37377).
