Aunt Margaret was my Great Aunt. She was a wonderful person and always a joy to be near. I will miss her soft way of speaking and her beautiful smile. She always made me feel welcomed and loved. As a child she would take the time to talk with me at a time most adults were talking at children. She lived the golden rule and always treated others well. Margaret was a true southern lady and my heroine.
Dear Aunt Margaret - Heaven has gained a new light. May you inspire the angels with your soft spoken charm. You were truly an inspiration for me and I am a better person for having known you.

Margaret was a second mother for me. I could call and talk to her anytime about anything and would always get sound advice. She was my neighbor for 29 years on Kirkman Road. We talked a few weeks back. My son and wife loved her so much. RIP....Brenda

Margaret showered her warmth upon me again just this month. I'll miss her charm and sincere smile. She was a great role model in many ways; I hope to live as long as she did and be as alert and engaged as she was with everyone around her. My prayers are with the family.

I always loved Mrs Pennington. As one of my teachers she always had a special something about her and now I know it was the love of God in her life. I am so proud to have known her. I graduated in 1959.

I was a student at Kirkman Technical High School and graduated 1963. The Pennington's were so special to the students who knew them. Her husband who has gone before her was a caring instructor, she was a light in the office area to all who came in contact with her. Most of all they loved the Lord! He and she loved the students of KTHS. She will be missed. Prayers and thoughts to the family. Audrey Kile

I have always loved Aunt Margaret so much and will miss her kind eyes and sweet smile. Her positive attitude and sweet encouragement as well as her strong and everlasting faith were always an inspiration to me. I have heard from so many of her students of how kind and giving she was with them and never forgot a name..no matter how long the time had been. She was always so sweet to me and I remember spending the night with her when I was around 7-8 and loved watching her brush her long, beautiful hair at night. I will miss her so much. Steven, Penny & Peg...my thoughts and prayers are with you. Much love, Lori

I have many fond memories of my Aunt Margaret. I remember how she treated me as one of her own children when our families were together. I recall the aroma of delicious meals prepared in her kitchen. I see her smile and hear her voice in my minds eye. I regret that we cannot be with her and her family during this time of transition but our hearts are there with prayers and much love.

Mrs. Pennington was the most wonderful teacher and friend to us all in Tyner High School. At the time I knew her as Peggy and Penny's mom as well and what a gracious and kind lady she was. I am so sad for all of you, but my goodness, what a 'life well lived' !!!! God's peace to you all.
