Margaret Lane Scruggs

Margaret Lane Scruggs, 82, of Chattanooga, with her children by her side, departed this life on November 26, 2017.

Margaret graduated from City High School and Baroness Erlanger’s Nursing Program, and then worked at Erlanger and Memorial Hospitals before retiring from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of TN.

She was the daughter of William Eugene, Sr. and Margaret Opal Lane. Margaret leaves behind son, Don Scruggs, Jr.; daughter, Julie (Jon) Clark; brothers, Bill (Polly) Lane, John (late wife Susan) Lane; grandchildren, James R. and Russell Clark and Stacy (Frank) Costa.

The family will hold a Celebration of Margaret’s life at a later date.
