Marguerite M. Altick

Marguerite M. Altick, 95, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020.

Marguerite was born in Hattiesburg, MS but moved to Memphis, TN at a young age. She worked as a Medical Secretary at the Memphis V.A. Hospital for 32 years before retiring in 1980. The Alticks moved to Chattanooga, TN in 1994 to be near their children and grandchildren.
She was a member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church and a volunteer there.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite C. Mead; and brother, Herman E. Mead both of Memphis, TN.

She is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, John D. (Jack) Altick; daughters, Elaine (John) Larmer and Diane (Buddy) Rawlings all of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Melissa (John) Cate of Chattanooga, TN, Joy (Don)Thomas of Atlanta, GA, Reed (Jessica) Rawlings of Atlanta, GA and Brett Rawlings of Tampa, FL; 11 great grandchildren all of whom Marguerite dearly loved; and Neko Hudgins who was her special friend and caregiver for 6 years.

A funeral service will be held at 12 PM on Monday, August 17 in the funeral home chapel with Jim Suddath officiating.

A private burial will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery
