Martha Elizabeth (Brooks) Hulsey

Martha Elizabeth Brooks East Hulsey, 88, of Hixson, TN passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018.

Martha was born on September 21, 1929 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Frank and Martha Brooks. She was a 1947 graduate of Chattanooga High School, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Toast Masters Group, and East Ridge Church of Christ.  She was a Girl Scout leader for several years; she enjoyed ceramic art and reading. Above all she enjoyed being involved with her grandchildren and all their activities.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Brooks; and sister, Alice W. Brooks.

She is survived by her daughters, Martha “Missy” Boatner, Alice Dailey; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 18 at 1 PM in the funeral home chapel with Minister Charles Cochran officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
