Mary Helen Holloway

Mary Helen Holloway, 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2021 after a courageous 4 year journey with cancer.

A lifelong resident of East Brainerd, Mary was born on July 27, 1933 to the late Joe and Romie Gray and was a graduate of Tyner High School.

She was a 61 year member of East Brainerd Baptist Church.  Her love for children led her to East Ridge Presbyterian and Ridgedale Baptist CDC for many years.

Mary loved her Lord, whom she asked everyday for strength.  Her family was her greatest joy.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bill Holloway; brothers, Carl, Joe and Johnny Gray;  sisters, Glenda Zinna, June Lackey, and Jane Clark.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory, children, Kathy Willmon, Chattanooga and Todd (Tina) Holloway, Chickamauga, GA;  grandchildren, Danielle (Sam) Potter, Ashley (Zach) Shrum, Kaitlin Holloway, Kristin (Houston) Phillips;  sister, Teresa Hilton, Chattanooga; several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank Jackie Walker, her loving caregiver for the physical and spiritual care she provided during the last several months.  Our family has been blessed to have her in our lives.  Thank you also to Hearth Hospice for your love and care.

Services will be held Thursday, April 1 at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Frank Ogle officiating.   Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
