Mary Louise (Sally) Woody

Mary Louise (Sally) Mathis Woody, 83, of Ringgold, GA passed away on Sunday, July 29, 2018.

A lifelong resident of Ringgold, Mrs. Woody was a member of East Brainerd Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Howard Woody, son, Joe David Woody, mother, Myrtle Rayburn, father, Robert Mathis, sisters, Reba Sharp and Stella Medlin.

She is survived by her children, Barry (Tina) Woody, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA;  Merritta (James) Brown, Sr., Tunnel Hill, GA and Davida Cooper, Ringgold, GA;, Krykett Woody, Rome, GA; sister, Kathleen R. Mathis, Riceville, TN.; six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, August 2 at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Minister Thomas R. Mathis and Minister Dave Mellor officiating.   Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens with James W. Brown Jr., Dan Mathis, David Mathis, Sparky Leamon, Bill Mathis and David Mashburn serving as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the Wounded Warriors Project.
