Max F. Wallace, aka “The Suit Man”, of Ooltewah went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 17, 2020.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Max was born to the late Calvin & Hattie Wallace.
Max was owner and operator of “The Suit Man” for 27 years and enjoyed the years of friendships he had established with friends and businesses throughout his retail career.
He was a veteran of the US Air Force and held memberships with the Alhambra Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite and was a 32 degree mason.
Max was an active member and charter member of Graceworks Church where he had served on the security team.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeff Wallace.
Max is survived by his wife, Terri Ellis; his children, Jill (Jeff) Roberts, Apison, Robert (Amber) Wright, Dayton, TN, and Michael (Carrie) Ellis, Ooltewah; five grandchildren, McKenzie Roberts, Levi Roberts, Shelby Wright, Anna Wright,and Austin Ellis; sister, Atheleen Childress, Ooltewah; nephew, Paul Buchan,St. Petersburg, FL, niece, Carol (Lou) Sturdivant, Atlanta.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am, Saturday, June 20th, at Graceworks Church with Dr. Bill Owens and Curtis Ottinger officiating. You may view the service on Graceworks Church Facebook Page.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making memorial contributions to the Graceworks Church Building Fund in Honor of Max Wallace at 6445 Lee Highway, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
