Michael David Cavin, 52, of Chattanooga, passed away November 11, 2020 at his home.
Born on July 24, 1968 in Spokane, WA, Michael was raised in a military family and lived in Washington State, Oklahoma, California, New York, Oklahoma, Korea, South Carolina, and Georgia before making Chattanooga, Tennessee his home.
He worked as a truck driver, mechanic and formerly owned a moving company, “Moving On Up”. He was an avid fisherman, gardener, NASCAR fan, loved his dogs and adored his grandchildren.
He was known affectionately by his many friends as “AL”.
Michael is survived by his wife, Cristie Perry Cavin; parents, David & Anna Cavin, Trenton, GA; step-children, Ashley Elliott, Flintstone, GA and Jesse Elliott, Jasper, TN; four grandchildren, Conner and Kristen Elliott, Tabitha and Shelby Perry; birth mother, Claire King, Alaska; three sisters, Deana Landrum, Hixson, Laura Hamme, Alaska, Teresa McClaird, Seattle, WA; brother, Chad Carow, Alaska; two nieces, Loxley and Madigan Landrum.
A graveside service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, November 14th at Boydston Cemetery with Rev. Ernie Reno and Rev. Edmond Stallings officiating. Pallbearers will be David White, Randy Bowman, Steve Vaughn, Ronnie Vaughn, Jesse Perry, and Marty Payne.
