Michael Ray (Mike) Compton, Sr.

Michael “Mike” Ray Compton, Sr., 57, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, May 1, 2020.

Mike was born in Nuremburg, Germany in a military family, raised in Chattanooga and employed by the City of Chattanooga, Public Works Department.  He served as a volunteer fire fighter for Signal Mountain Lone Oak FD.  Mike loved music, the ocean and enjoyed playing the guitar.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Donald Compton, preceded him in death.

Surviving are his loving wife, Karen Compton; children, Brooke Compton and granddaughter Autumn, Michael Compton; step-children, Robert, Bryan, Kim and Kelly; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Kimberly Miller Miles and his brothers, Bruce (Gwen) Compton and Jeremy (Jennifer) Compton.

All services will be private.
