Mickey Barber, 77, of East Brainerd, passed away December 20, 2018 surrounded by his loved ones.
Mickey came to Chattanooga in the late 70’s where he served as Vice-President of Catnapper- Jackson Furniture before starting his own manufacturing business. After a long and successful career, Mickey retired but continued doing consulting work for many furniture companies.
He was an avid golfer and traveled extensively doing charity golf tournaments across the country for various organizations. He particularly enjoyed the courses in Myrtle Beach, SC while having family vacations.
Mickey was a member of Central Baptist Church and was the son of the late Ruth and Millard Barber of South Carolina.
He would have celebrated his 78th birthday on January 24th.
He is survived by his wife, Cendy Barber; children, Greg Barber, David Barber, Missy (Daniel) Dingler and K.C. Barber; grandchildren, Gregory, Robbie, Abby and Ezra Barber, DJ and Kambri Dingler, Beth Webb, Layla, Jayden, Wyatt and Noah; brother, Gary (Geneva) Barber, Darlington, SC; nephew, Scott (Christine) Barber; great niece and nephew, Nicole and Ryan Barber.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5th at 11 am in the funeral home chapel.
