Mildred Lee Wilson

Mildred L. Wilson, 90, of Ooltewah died Friday, June 2, 2017 at her residence.

A resident of Ooltewah since 1944, Mrs. Wilson was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for over 65 years.

She was an avid seamstress and cook and loved to share her homemade blankets and quilts with many friends.   She was known for her “Chicken and Dumplings”, and her Sour Dough Bread.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Wilson, parents, Tommy Lee and Mary Foust Peden;  sister, Ruby Pettus and nephew, Jerry Pettus.

Survivors are her two sons, Randy (Pat) Wilson, Chattanooga, and Andy (Lucy) Wilson, Decatur, TN;  two grandsons,  Kyle and Greg Wilson;  six great-grandchildren;  nephew, Ronald (Brenda) Pettus, Athens, Al.; niece, Betty Pettus, Florence, AL.

Services will be held Monday at 11 AM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. William Swanson officiating.   Burial will follow at Old McDonald Cemetery.
