Million Lee Lillard, 93, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020, at his home.
He was a resident of Chattanooga and a native of Sweetwater, TN. He lived in the Chattanooga area since 1953.
He served the U.S. Army during WWII and was retired from the U.S. Army as First Sergeant from the military department of Tennessee and the Army National Guard.
He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church and most recently attended Brainerd Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years, Elsie; son, Steven Lillard; and daughter, Vivian A. Gibson; and several brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 8 years, Deborah Lillard; daughters, Lydia E. Gaston of Panama City, FL, and Kim A. McCandless of Fort Oglethorpe, GA; and several grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, June 30th at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the U.S. Army performing military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
The family will receive friends Tuesday after 11 am – 12 PM at Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 7454 East Brainerd Road.
