Palma Biggs Turner, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019.
Palma was born on August 25, 1920 to the late William Clyde and Auda Fitzgerald Biggs.
Palma was converted at an early age and joined the Providence Baptist Church where she became a choir member and sang in a ladies trio with her sister, Sara B. Stulce and her cousin, Joyce F. Monger. She is a member of Central Bearden Baptist Church. Palma was a 1938 graduate of Ooltewah High School, and worked at the Ooltewah Post Office as an Auxiliary Clerk and was later employed by the Hamilton National Bank which later became the First Tennessee Bank. She retired from the bank in 1985.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, B.F. Turner; 2 sisters, Murel Biggs and Sara B. Stulce; brother, William Edward Biggs; great grandson Ryan Howard and granddaughter in-law Patricia Howard.
She is survived by her daughter, Deanna T. Howard; 3 grandsons, Brad Howard, Bart (Janna) Howard, Casey (Debra) Howard; 4 great-grandchildren, Brittany (Matt) Wagner, Brooke, Abigail, and Reid Howard, and 2 great great grandchildren Wesley Wagner and Westley Ryan.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 3 in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Old McDonald Cemetery in Ooltewah, TN.
