Ruby (Wooten) Gurney

Ruby Wooten Gurney, 99 of Chattanooga, died peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

She was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.  Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lee Gurney; parents, Walter Lee Wooten and Beluah Wooten Pettyjohn and her brothers, Truman and Eugene Wooten.

Survivors include her nieces, Pam (Bill Brock) Thompson, Darlene (Terry) Center, Connie (David) Wetter and Linda (Gordon) Cranfil and nephews, Butch (Sue) Wooten and Bradley (Trish) Wooten.

The family would like to give special thanks to Hospice of Chattanooga for their care.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 3, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
