Sara Christine Kendrick Bennett, 93, celebrated Thanksgiving by going home November 27, 2020.
It’s hard to say goodbye because we will miss her, but we are glad that our Mother is made whole once again and we are grateful for the endless love she gave to us.
The love she had for her family from top to bottom was her greatest joy and she welcomed many to be part of that family.
Born April 25, 1927 to Alley and Mildred Kendrick, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Otis (Bill) Bennett; brothers, Mack & Jimmy Kendrick and sister, Corita Cook; eleven aunts and uncles; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Christine was an extraordinary mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Her cooking skills were legendary and many were fortunate to get an occasional magnificent cake or one of her countless dishes because she shared her love often through actions of gratitude of sharing food.
She was an amazing seamstress, a diligent gardener and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Bobby (Anna) Bennett, Kathy (Kenny) Moore, Sue (Barry) Ratchford, Ted (Rosy) Bennett, Steve Bennett, and Barry (Teresa) Bennett; her grandchildren who loved their Mamaw to the moon; Josh, Will, Jacob (Amy), Zach, Daniel (Amanda), Beth, Suzanne (John), and Adam (Felicia); ten great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty Kendrick; special friend and neighbor Sarah Jagoditsch.
