Sharon Kidd Kubecka, 85, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
She wore several different hats during her life. Sharon graduated from Andrews University in 1964 with a BA in Speech and Hearing Science. She worked and lived in New York City and Massachusetts, then moved to Illinois where she owned her own business, K’s K9s, breeding AKC registered poodles and running a professional grooming service.
She was also known for her radio program, called “The Polo Pulse,” which aired on WIXN in Dixon, IL. She moved her kennel business to Texas in 1975, but sold the business and returned to Illinois following the death of her husband in 1979. She then spent the rest of her career caring for elderly boarders at her home in Pearl City, IL.
She was born on September 17, 1935, in Wauwatosa, WI. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Margaret Kidd; her husband, Thomas Kubecka; and her brother, Arden Kidd.
Sharon is survived by her daughter, Deeahn aka Lisa (Terry) Johnson; and her grandsons, William and Trenton Brummel.
A private memorial service (with streaming) will be held September 19, 2021, in Freeport, IL.
