Sheryal (Thompson) Sandoval

Sheryal Ann Thompson Sandoval, 70 years young, of East Ridge went to be with the Lord and Savior on July 28, 2017.

Sheryal was born in Bethesda, MD in the Naval Hospital. She retired after 45 years of dedicated service with the Social Security Administration where she was blessed to have many wonderful friends. She was a member of South Seminole Baptist Church in East Ridge for 37 years; she loved the Lord and her church. She loved her family dearly and was a loyal friend to so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Acie and Florence Thompson of Alexandria, VA.

She is survived by her daughter, Stephannie Spurgeon, two grandchildren, Austin Spurgeon, and Sophie Harris all from Ooltewah, TN, her sister's, Vivian Sharp of Chattanooga, Ruth Ann (Dale) of Wilmington, NC, brothers, Acie Thompson Jr, from Currie, NC, David Thompson (Janet), from Fredericksburg, VA, Patrick Thompson from Leesburg, VA, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was a devoted Mimi to Austin and Sophie. She never missed any games or school events. They were her pride and joy.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 30 in the funeral home chapel with Brother Ron Perry and Joyce Hickey officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood East Cemetery.
