Thomas W. Barnes

Thomas W. Barnes, 93, of Chattanooga passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 in a local healthcare facility.

A resident of Chattanooga for the past 50 years, Mr. Barnes was a veteran of the US Navy and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Barnes, son, Johnny Barnes, and daughter, Regina Barnes.

Survivors are his children, Charles Barnes,  Sharon Shope, and Vetina Minton, all of McDonald, TN;  brother, Glynn Barnes, Athens, TN;  5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Sam Dillard officiating,    A graveside service will be held at 3:30 pm at South Liberty Cemetery in Riceville, TN.
