Tong "Jennifer" DeMartini

Tong “Jennifer” Chin DeMartini, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away June 17, 2020, at her home. 

Jennifer was born on June 3, 1944, in Seoul, South Korea.

Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Deanna (Steven) Miller of Grand Rapids, Michigan; one grandson, Jack Christopher Miller; and her loving partner of over 30 years, David James Slagter of Chattanooga.

Jennifer was the adopted mother and grandmother to many families.  She was a loving “umma” and “halmoni” who was generous and would move heaven and earth to help.  She loved gardening, flowers, long walks, pets and making sure everyone was well-fed.  She was hard working, strong, determined, tenacious, and if you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you felt it deeply.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 PM on Saturday, June 20, prior to the funeral service at 3:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home 7454 E. Brainerd Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421.
