Victor Morris Hanan, 91, of Chattanooga, died on September 23, 2021.
Vic was born on December 14, 1929, in Atlanta, GA, to the late Morris and Annie Hanan. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Helen E. Jacobs; his son, Joel L Hanan, and his beloved dogs, Max and Jake.
Survivors are his son, Michael (Janice) Hanan; Granddaughters Rachel and Rebecca Hanan, and sweet little poodle, Emily. In addition, he is survived by his beloved cousins, nieces and nephews, who he loved greatly.
Victor served in the Navy after graduating from Boys High in Atlanta. He met and married Helen, and moved to Chattanooga. They joined Helen’s family business, Jacobs Paper Co, where he found his true calling in Sales. They both owned and operated Jacobs Paper Co. until Helen’s passing in 2006. Even long after retirement, he never relinquished his life calling as The Boss!
He was full of life and loved sports and his houseboat. He loved music and dancing; he was always the life of the party!
A graveside service will be held at 12 PM on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at B’Nai Zion Cemetery in Red Bank with Rabbi Sam Rothenberg officiating.
