Virginia Jo Moates

Virginia Jo Moates, 87, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.

Virginia worked as a procurement specialist for the U.S. Government for 20 years, and retired from Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, FL. She was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Inez Taylor.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James Roy Moates; sister-in-law, Evelyn Peace; and several nieces and nephews.

Virginia will be buried at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Monday, March 30, 2020.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
