Wilma P. Steele

Wilma Houser Steele, 91, of Chattanooga passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023 at her residence.

A resident of Chattanooga since 1955, Mrs. Steele retired from Caldsted Foundation after many years of service.

She was a member of Hickory Valley Baptist Church and was preceded in death by sisters, Opal Peters, Annie Houser, Freida Mathis;  brothers, Cecil Houser, E.J. Houser, Vernon Houser, and Estell Houser.

Survivors are her husband of 72 years, Bill Steele;  daughter, Angela (Dan) Grime, Ringgold, GA;  two sisters, Juanita Brooks, Birmingham, AL and Lila Cromwell, Chattanooga;  many nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 24th at 1 PM  in the funeral home chapel with Dr. David Kemp officiating.   Burial will follow at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
