Dear Betty, you and "Gene" are so special to all your classmates at Central! The outpouring of messages and condolence are amazing. Gene and I spent hours on the phone as he drove to work, and we rekindled a friendship that began way back in 1948. He was a special guy, and we are still in shock at his passing. Our love and sympathy to you; you are in our prayers and thoughts.

Betty, you and your family are in the hearts and thoughts of your classmates and many fiends. I enjoyed my high school years shared with"Gene" and will continue to enjoy those memories. You, we hope, will continue to join our reunion gatherings as we remember and honor Gene and other classmates we no longer can be with except in our memories. Sincerely, Gordon Thomas

We are so sorry for your great loss and for our own. We didn't get to know him until we were with him each summer at the Fountain City Grammar reunions.
We adopted him as a friend with whom we could communicate easily and well.
Joy and I are praying for you.

Hello Betty,
Roy and I send to you our sincere sympathy in the loss of Charles. My SPECIAL MEMORY of Charles was when he came to the Loyal Sunday
Class at Sunday School and spoke as our Guest Speaker. That day as
I listened to his words truly gave me a UNIQUE Special Message--that
will remain in my Heart. Betty--and you are a wonderful Christian
lady whom Charles was "Blessed" to have as his wife.

God Bless You. Best regards, Sara Key
