Janet & Brenda, I'm so sorry for the loss of your father. Smitty was one of the kindest, caring men that I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Take comfort in knowing that your loss, while grievous in this life, is a homecoming celebration in Heaven. He's with our Lord and Savior now preparing for the day when he can receive the rest of us home. Lisa and I will pray for God's Love to comfort you and your families during your time of grief.

God Bless,
Keith & Lisa

Dear Janet and Brenda,
May God be close to you and your family during this time of sorrow. Charles was one of the kindest, sweetest and dearest gentleman I have ever known. He will be sorely missed, but you can rest peacefully knowing he is in a better place.
With love.

Smitty was such a precious part of our family for so many years. I have never considered Brenda as just my sister in law or Janet as just her sister, we have all been one big family that has kept growing and enjoying life, love, memories and each other's company. In the last 35 years, I am hard pressed to remember a time where the Durhams, the Smiths and the Hewitts weren't all around a bountiful feast or some glorious event. For that, I am truly grateful and thankful. Smitty will be greatly missed, but my greatest joy is that he is in the arms of Our Lord and is no longer suffering. Rick, Brenda, April, Ashley, Jeremy, Janet, Gary, Chris and Isiah - all my love and comfort to each of you during this time of loss. The Lord will see you through and provide the strength and comfort that each of you need. Always, Traci Beth

Mr. Smith was such a dear gentleman. He was an example in so many ways: his work ethic, humble spirit, readiness to serve, love for his family, and his love for His Savior. I always enjoyed accompanying him on the piano when he sang. I am praying for each of you family members that you will feel God's comfort as you mourn his loss while rejoicing that he is with his wife and with Jesus.

Brenda, may God hold you close in this time of sorrow. You will be lost with out him for a long time but isn't it wonderful to know that you will see him again one day.

We just learned of Bro. Smith's Home-going tonight at church. We know the loss you feel and how very much he will be missed. He was the pillar of your family. He was a wonderful example to everyone of what a Christian should be in every way. Only Heaven will reveal how many are there because of Smitty's testimony and witness. May you find comfort in knowing this is a 'see you later' and not a final 'goodbye'. We are blessed by having known him. Please know that we are, and will be, praying for your family at this difficult time and in the days/weeks ahead.
From Our Hearts,
Gerry and Diane Baughman
