I knew him at Virginia. One of the friendlier Hallies. Sorry to hear of his passing. Reminds us of our own limited time here. Seems like we were students just a few years ago. Glad to read that he had such a full life. He always made me smile.

Our deepest sympathy to all family members of West. He was a very dynamic person, a gentleman and will be missed by all. His father Lew was a dear friend and we still remember fondly the times we spent together. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

My deepest sympathy to Lewis, Matthew, William and Christina on the loss of your wonderful dad. He was truly a wonderful friend for more than 3 decades.
Please know all of you are and have been in my thoughts and prayers since you lost your dear dad. Today I especially pray for you as the hour of his funeral draws near. I am so sad I could not be there at this very sad time but hope to have a chance to visit with each of you soon.
What a guy. I know all four of you will keep your dad's optimistic outlook alive.
With much sadness Peter II

As I look at the clock on the wall
It's a sad day for St. Anthony Hall
As it' sounds tick tock
Almost the end for the OLD COCK
Yes West Ohemig brought that greeting to UVA
And you still hear all the
Hallies still saying it today
Old West was always driving that big old CAddy
Wearing a moon face and dressed so natty
sporting that long duster coat and big grin
You won't be seeing that again
As the old Nooga cho choo rounds the bend
Dear West train ride almost at the end
Tis sad day for me my friend
That's all i can send

I knew West during his days as a member of the Commonwealth Business Travel Group, a travel agency consortium. West was always entertaining us with his sense of humor and his way of always finding the best in everything. He had a great way of connecting with people. My heartfelt sympathies to the family!

Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of breavement, for we know there will be further travel plans taking place, because our parents enjoyed their travels under West guidance and direction. We are forever greatful for the relationship and bond our dad Napoleon had with your father. May God keep and bless each of you in the coming days is our prayer, and may the peace of Christ be with you.
