She was and will always be an inspiration to me. She promoted food and UT programs. Her accomplishments were building blocks for the local food movement going on now in Chattanooga.

Marilyn was a very special ambassador representing UT Hamilton County Extension so very well. I always enjoyed visiting with her, and know how proud she was of her family. In my view, she was a renaissance woman who embraced change, had a fantastic attitude, and a work ethic that was second to none. Perhaps what I liked best was the fact that what we all saw on television was exactly how she was on a one-on-one and day-to-day basis.
