Dorcas (Ross) Irwin

Dorcas Irwin, 83, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Saturday, January 20, 2018.

Dorcas was born on December 28, 1934, to the late Cicero and Ethel Ross. She graduated from City High School, worked for DuPont for almost 20 years, and had been a member at Avondale, Bayside, and Meadowview Baptist Churches. She was an adoring wife, loving mother and grandmother, and faithful witness to family and friends. She never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Irwin, and sister, Rhonda Watson.

She is survived by her daughter, Dee Anne; son-in-law, Brian Overbeck; grand-daughters, Kee-Lee and Ah-Gust Overbeck; sister, Ora Lee Humphrey; and nephew, George Humphrey.

Her funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, January 25th in the funeral home chapel with Sterling Jetton officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
