Leatrice (McBee) Spell

Leatrice Dephane “Lea” Spell, 86, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away from a brief illness on Thursday, January 18, 2017.

 Lea was born on October 25, 1931 in Leveland, TX to the late Archie and Geraldean McBee. She was married on January 27, 1953 in Lubbock, TX to the late Perry F. Spell. She graduated from Draughons Business College in Lubbock, TX and attended Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX.

She was a long time member of Brainerd Presbyterian Church and was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and friend who was always cheerful and light hearted.

She is survived by her son Perry F. Spell and W. Craig of Garrison, TN, daughter Lisa (John) Holley of Montana, grandchildren, Ryan Whittle of Atlanta, GA, Reid (Katy) Whittle and son Harrison of Signal Mtn.,TN, Robert “Rob” (Whitney) Whittle and children Nolan, Elin, and Owen of Chattanooga, TN.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 27 at Brainerd Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ronald Ragon officiating. Reception will follow service.

Burial will be at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
